Geringe Karbonisierung. Angenehm rauchiger Beginn, moderate Süße, rauchig-getreidig, hohe Süffigkeit. Leichte Bitterkeit, etwas wässriger Körper, moderate Herbe. Nett, mittellanger rauchiger Ausklang. 10/9/11/10//10

Tap at the brewery. Hazy brown wirh a large off white head. Aroma had smoke, roasted malt and light bacon. Over the palate came toasted malt, smoke, bacon and Schwarzwald ham. Less smoked than Schlenkerla but more than Spezial. Masterpiece.

“Schederndorfer Rauchbier“, vom Faß beim Will in Schederndorf. - Tief kastanienrotbraun, leicht trüb. - Nase mild aber tief dunkelmalzig und nur leicht rauchig. - Antrunk dezent rauchig und fein zitrusfruchtig hopfenherb über satt Märzenbier-artigem dunklem Malz mit feiner Karamelsüße. Mild rezent, weich, für ein Märzen etwas dünn (oder mit zu viel Kohlensäure gezapft). Mild hopfenwürziger Abgang. - Mildes, rundes Rauchbier mit feiner zitrusfruchtiger Hopfung, die sogar die dezente Rauchnote aussticht. Lecker, wiewohl für meinen Geschmack etwas dünn.

Keg at Zum Franziskaner, Stockholm. Clear mahogany colour, mid sized head. Rich aroma of of charcuterie smoke with notes of salmiak. Dry with medium body and soft mouthfeel. Smoked ham and tar. Salty mid bitter finish.

Draft at Ranzani 13, Bologna, Italy. Pours a wonderful ruby brown, with gross whitish foam. Aroma is pretty intensely smoked. Body is slightly dense with intense carbonation, even too much. Taste is moderately sweet, with good bitterness govern by the smokiness. Finish is average.

Tap @Ma Che Siete Venuti a Fa (Rome). Dark chestnut skin pour, quite clear. Frothy irregular cap. Nose: mh, very smokey, speck ham, grilled meat :) Mouth is pretty charming, highlights of caramel, ham-like. Lovely ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap @ Ma Che Siete, Roma. Nice head with good duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are rich bacon, smoke, caramel, malt and hops.

On tap at the brewpub. Sehr dunkel orange braunes Bier mit einer großen beigen Schaumkrone. Geruch ist dezent rauchig, etwas Schinken und röstmalz. Geschmack angenehm rauchig, röstmalzig, Schinken, lecker!

On tap @FrankenFest, Ma che siete venuti a fà (Rome). Pours a coca cola color with a medium off-white head. Aroma is delicate smoke with light malty notes, bread crust. Flavour is medium sweet, malty with a decent bitter end, nice smoked notes in the aftertaste. Medium to light body, a bit watery, light carbonation. Nice!
