Bottle, 36cl. It pours an almost clear golden-orange body with a small, lasting, off-white head. Citrus peel, some peaches and some malty sweetness in the aroma. The flavor has some sweetness in the back, with caramel hints, fruityness and bitterness. Full body, mostly bitter finish, with a pleasant fruityness. Certainly a nice one. Bet it would be even better when completely fresh. 120302

Tap at the Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2012. Pours cloudy gold with a fine, white foam head. Very spicy and herbal. Medium sweet, lightly dry. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Reasonably sweet with a bit of hop kick in the end. Nice DIPA.

0.36l bottle shared with The Tasting Crew. This is a blurry glowing orange-honey colored beer with a small bubbly, lacing off-white head. The aroma is fruity and caramel sweet with passion fruits, strawberries, sticky caramel and some citrus. It's average carbonated with a slick texture. Flavors are hoppy and caramel sweet. Almost a bit pungent, but not in a matter that it's to disturbing. Some ripe citrus fruits going on here as well before it ends in a light dry tongue. An OK DIPA. 16.06.2012

Bottle from Brewdog.com. Great looking label. Dark orange pour with a middling white head. Enticing piney hop nose with some juicy tropical fruit present. Sweet caramel and hops aplenty in the flavour. Really drinkable with spot on hop bitterness. Lovely stuff. A first class DIPA, and definitely the best Japanese beer I’ve had the pleasure of tasting.

On tap. Pours a cloudy opaque golden with a frothy and dense off-white head with good retention. Very fresh citrusy hop aroma. Medium body, a sweet peachy fruitiness with lots of hoppy bite and heavy IBUs. Imperial perhaps not so much, but all the way from Japan and still appears very fresh. 170512

Sample @ Copenhagen Beer Celebration. Pours hazy pale golden with a small creamy white head that is rather quick to dissipate while leaving lots of thick lacing on the glass. Smell is sweet and fruity with cereal, pineapple, mango, hay and plums. Taste is sweet, fruity and spicy with plums, pineapple, cloves, white pepper, crackers, cereal and subtle hints of barnyard. Mouthfeel is smooth, tiny watery and light to medium bodfied. Finish is sweet and bitter with orange zest, plums, cloves and hints of dry soil.
