In the spirit of tenacity and camaraderie, Mettle was first created to highlight the milestone of our inaugural year as a brewery. With the intense dry-hop duo of Amarillo and Citra, this medium-bodied Double IPA beckons with aromatics of pineapple, mango, orange, and a hoppy dankness. A fusion of orange, melon, light pineapple, and a subtle pithiness round out the palate with a smooth, pillowy mouthfeel. We continue to brew Mettle in recognition of our devoted following of hopheads that have supported us from the very beginning.

STYLE: Double IPA

A lot of tropical fruit here, big pineapple, a little sweat sock (cuz I always smell that in the tropical hops). Juicy and hazy. Some actual resinous bitterness here is a bit of a surprise.

Can. An unclear orange colored beer with a white head. Orange, grapefruit, pine cones and some pale malts in the aroma. Some gooseberry and green grape. It's full bodied and lightly warming, softly carbonated and semi dry, with a very gentle bitterness. Grapefruit, orange, pine cones, tropical fryityness and hints of pale malts and alcohol in the flavor. Lasting finish. Sure a nice one. 241019

Can, 0.473l. Aroma of mango, peach, pineapple, citrus and biscuit. Pours hazy dirty yellow color with large soapy off-white head, nice lacing and sparkling appearance. Taste starts juicy tropical and stone fruity, following is moderate sweet malty and faint herbal, mouthfeel is warm and mild spicy, while finish is average bitter. Full body, oily texture and average carbonation in palate. Mettle for a kettle…
