Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark caramel color with an enormous foamy orange-tan head that towered over the glass, lingered and left decent lacing. The aroma was sweet and malty with caramel, tangy pine, resin and fruity hops. The flavor was bitter, tangy and sweet with sugar, caramel, pine and resin followed by fruity and floral hops. Very long finish. Moderately full bodied. Well done.

Approaching strong ale (whatever that is) or barleywine territory with the full rounded malts here. Caramel toffee notes, complemented by big resiny hops. Resiny semi-sweet finish, lingering piney notes. Not a heavy palate but hefty enough. Surpisingly not "huge".

12 oz bottle poured. Pours a clear copper color with a thick coat of foam head and lacing. Very piney hop aroma. Flavor heavy on the pine as well, with a thick, creamy body. Cool, fresh finish to it. Lingering hops well into the finish. Tasty double here.

Bottle: Poured a hazy orange with whispery white head. Aroma is strong pine and citrus hops. Taste is citrus grapefruit, astringent pine cleaning solvent, and earthy hop finish.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Buy Rite, 5/17/15

Aroma: The nose has orange, caramel, some pine notes, a bit of bread, and a hint of pepper
Appearance: A slightly cloudy golden-orange color with a sheeting beige head and medium lace
Flavor: It has a light sweetness, bread and caramel, lots of bitterness, and a bit of alcohol as well
Palate: The body medium, with a decent feel, average carbonation, and a dry, slightly hot finish
Overall Impression: This is a pretty mediocre DIPA for my personal tastes. The flavors and aroma are all fine, but not great. Everything here is good enough, but everything could be better.
