Birth of Tragedy is the imperial and oak barrel-aged version of our annual winter porter, Twilight of the Idols. Brewed with locally roasted coffee and Vermont honey, we age this beer for a year in personally selected bourbon barrels from our favorite distilleries.

Almost black beer with a beige lacing. Aroma of mid sweet dark malt, chocolate, vanilla. Taste of sweet chocolate malt, caramel, vanilla, some bourbon.

Van fles bij Borefts '25. 2025 editie. Zwarte kleur, beige kraag. Vol, volzoet, gebrand, koffie, chocolade, vleugje zoete soyasaus, honing, bourbon, eikenhout, vanille, rijk, romig, mooi gebrand bitter. Volle body. Bier van het festival, top.

From bottle at Borefts 2025. Thick with loads of chocolate, roast, bourbon, soy sauce. Sweet with a mild bitterness, rich full body. Exquisite.

Bottle at Borefts. Vwry dark brown with snall head. Massive massive bourbon, dark sugar, oak, soft coffee, nutty. Quite sweet, less bitter. Oily medium body.

Thanks Brian, held up well. Hint of oxidation, but all the flavors are there. It did dry out slightly. Still really delicious.

500ml bottle. 2016 vintage. Smooth, slightly roasty and sweetish with some coffee, honey, toffee, syrup, vanilla and cocoa. Quite balanced despite its quite old.
