A really nice crisp beer. Lots of flavour without the huge abv. Cleanly made and light but a good full body for the style. D&S Dresden

(bottle, 33cl) Clear, dark amber to brown colour with a beige and firm medium-sized foamy head. Sweet dark malty and toasted aroma with notes of caramel, molasses, bread crusts, toasted nuts and a whiff of licquorice. Sweet and slightly bitter flavour, full bodied with a soft carbonation. Dark and toasted malty base with notes of caramel, chocolate, molasses, as well as bready, nutty and dried fruity accents; sweet and slightly syrupy finish with mildly herbal hoppy spice giving some balance. Likeable but stylewise not my cup of tea. 26.IX.18

Flosche: Deep amber coloured, hazy, medium-sized brownish head, that slowly collapses; moderate sweet flavour of dried berries and caramel, light malty bitterness underneath; moderate to solid sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied, a bit sticky; lingering and slightly drier toasty-caramelly finish with an increasing hoppy bitterness in the aftertaste. Good and pretty well balanced...

Bottle from The Offie, Leicester. Reddish brown, translucent with a little cream-coloured head. Hazelnut, chocolate malt, caramel, molasses in the aroma. Sweet taste, malt-led and sticky, with a leafy hop balance in the finish. Malt extract, more molasses, sarsaparilla and twinges of black cherry in the aftertaste. Nicely carbonated but the body is way too thin. All in all a nice surprise.

330ml bottle. Opaque, dark brown colour with average to huge, thick, creamy, fairly lasting and lacing, off-white to beige head. Dark malty aroma, hints of malt lozenge, a fruity touch of plum, some nougat, a fortunately ephemeral touch of fodder and Brazil nut. Taste is initially slightly dry, bitter hoppy and dark malty, minimal residual sweetness, notes of malt lozenge, fruity hints of plum, increasing sweetness, eventually sweet finish with hints of treacle.

And another 0,33 l bottle out of one of the kappldav123 boxes. Thanks a lot! A dark red bown in the glass. Nearly two finger head. Fruity hops with some malt on the nose. Taste starts with surprising choco and/or coffee elements. Dry grain and a lot of malt, less hops. Some fruity sweetness. Nice!

Bottle looks really good. Beer in the glass dark brown, small head. Starts intense malty, some alcoholic hints. Earthy notes, some wood. Dry background. Finish more balanced, dominated by malty notes. Nice one!
