330ml bottle. Pours bright orange with a small head. Aroma is orange squash, caramel malt and alcohol. Taste has a lot of toffee sweetness and red berries throughout. Not intense, pleasant to drink and no alcohol.

Bottle from Voldby. Vintage 2011. Clear reddish amber with a lasting beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel, heavy alcohol, dried fruit and spicy. Flavor is very sweet and rather bitter. Light dry and rather bitter finish with warming alcohol. 071212

Red delicious apple and caramel nose, equal proportions. Crystal clear copper, thin yellow head. Caramel and marzipan flavor, robust, with apple core underneath. Alcohol fairly noticeable but understandable. Finishes with apple peel, a touch of bitterness. Not cloying, fair balance, medium body. Quite drinkable barleywine/englsih strong.

Aroma: The nose has booze and sweet malts, along with some dark fruits, caramel, and a little wood
Appearance: It pours a clear dark orange color with a nice, lasting and somewhat lacy beige head
Flavor: The flavor brings out even more of the dark fruity and malty flavors and complexity
Palate: This one is fairly full bodied, with a syrupy stickiness, and a good amount of heat
Overall Impression: This is a pretty solid Barley Wine. The complexity really comes out in the flavor, but the aroma lets you know that it is there as well. It may not be the most exciting or complex British-style Barley Wine, but it is certainly a solid example of the style.

33cl from the Westholme Stores, Goring. Pours golden amber with a ring of white head; tropical fruit aroma; rich and oily in the mouth, with the alcohol well hidden, hte flavour is a delicate blend of butterscotch, figs and raisins; the finish is warming, thick and syrupy. This is far better than I thought it would be.

Bottle at home in Salisbury, shared with brother Charlie. Vintage 2007. Pours clear, glowing amber with a soft, creamy off-white head. Sweet malts, fruits, apple, faint caramel nose. Big sweet flavor, sugary bread, caramel, ripe fruits, like berries, mild booze, faint leaves. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet, sticky and warm finish, ripe fruits, fruit liqueur, cake, rich bread, alcohol, apples, and toasted sugar. Itโs a pretty heavy beer, but still pretty nice. Decent drinkability given the high ABV.

11.2oz bottle from Pickโs poured into a snifter. Pours a clear amber with minimal head. Aroma is dark fermented fruit, caramelized sugar, and some sour citrus hops. Taste is heavily sweet and light bitter. Lots of boozy heat, burnt sugar and citrus hops. Full bodied with a sticky yet somewhat thin texture. Soft carbonation and a very long finish. Overall, very good. I would like to try some of their other "crazy elf" beers.
