Halia is a farmhouse ale aged in wine barrels with whole peaches, resulting in bright, effervescent fruit notes in a soft, hazy body that finishes slightly tart and sweet with the pleasant character of ripe, juicy peaches. Literally meaning “remembrance of a loved one” in Hawaiian, Halia was brewed in memory of the dear friend of one of our brewers who loved peaches.

4 oz pour on draft at ChurchKey. Thanks radagast83! Hazy golden yellow with off-white head. Aromas of light acetone, spices, herbs, some vanilla. Tastes of cucumber, tart citrus, oak and funk. Light body with a dry finish.

Even the foam of this tastes good. Citrus bretta and good wine barrel infusion. A hint of peel. Pours golden with great head and lacing. Tangy but clean finish.

Bottle shared in London to mark Bruce’s departure - thanks to Kenny for sharing this one. Pours unclear yellow-gold with a frothy white head. Nice aroma, lightly funky, with notes of lemon and peach. Light sweet flavor with notes of lemon rind, hay, pale bread, faint sweat, peach and minerals. Light in body with average carbonation. Clean finish with pleasant lemony tartness, some straw. Solid.

Sampled from bottle @ Leuven Innovation Beer Festival. Hazy pale yellow golden color, small white head. Smell and taste are very sour, going to harsh, with a touch of fermenting fruits and unripe fruits. Average to decent body and carbonation. Too sour for me.

Rund säuerlicher Antrunk, angenehme Herbe. Die Säure bleibt vordergründig, das Bier frisch, rund, zum Ende aber kratzend. Spritzig, gelungen. 11/10/11/12/9/12

Thanks to Rian. Smooth fresh nose. Hints of sourness in the nose. The beer starts fresh, easy to drink with a nice sourness. Citrus, very smooth, easy to drink but not too deep. Very smooth, nice citrusy hints. Refreshing but the depth is missing for this percentage...

750ml bottle thanks to rich. Pours out a hazy straw topped with a small white head. Nose is spice fruit and a nice yeast kick. Taste is more of the light spice fruit finishing with a yeast end.
