11/12/2021. Bottle sample courtesy of SHIG. Pours very dark brown with a very small bubbly beige head. Aroma is woody, boozy, cognac, roasted malt, cocoa, dried fruits and berries. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness, light tartness. Moderate body, slight watery texture, average carbonation. Enjoyed this more than the previous one just tried from them.

Bottle originally from Erzengel and shared at Hazlemere tasting. Aroma is boozy and malty. Darkest brown and opaque. No head. Boozy and bitter. Some dark fruit. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Flat carbonation. Long finish. Big if not overly exciting.

Bottle shared by BeardedAvenger at SHIG Crashes the Bottle Share at Hazlemere: Poured a rich deep brown with a tan head. Aroma is malt, roasty, boozy, caramel, molasses. Taste is rich malty, more of that booziness, underlying cocoa.

Bottle split at the Hazlemere Movember and chops tasting, thanks to Mark 12/11/21. Light black with a decent beige covering. Nose is dried fruit esters, alcohol, cocoa dusting, sweet malts, brown, sugars, molasses. Taste comprises chocolate slice, dusty fruits, light spice, cocoa powder, brown bread,. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light kiss of alcohol. Ok for the style.

Bottle shared in Hazlemere - big thanks to the Bearded Avenger. Pours clear red-brown with a small, foamy white head. Medium sweet flavour, some damp carpet, earth, tangy berries. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Finishes with more tangy berries. So so.

Bottle shared at high Wycombe tasting. Thanks to bearded. A dark black brown coloured pour with a loose beige head. Aroma is slightly salty, green pewper, mellow roast, liquorice. Ok. Palate is light tart, moderate carbonation. Ok.

Bottle #339/700. ABV: 9.2%. Clear dark red brown colour with a large, frothy - creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, dark malt, wood, vanilla, alcohol. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light bitter with a long duration, roasted - chocolate, dark malt, wood, alcohol - sweet alcohol, cognac, barrel - vanilla. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is warming and light alcoholic. [20190914]
