Bottle from Carrefour. Pours hazy brown with a lasting, small, foamy, tan head. Aroma & taste combine caramel, red apple, pear, tea leaves & some iron. Solid caramel maltiness into the herbal hoppy finish, some dried fruit, metallic touch again. Medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Bit ordinary, decent go-to Dubbel.

330ml bottle, thanks to Jefverstraete. Pours hazed brown, good off-white head. Typically sweet dubbel aromatics, dried fruits. Moderately sweet, lightly fruity toffee dubbel character, it's a little weak compared to the great Westmalle, but a fine pillowy smooth table dubbel replacement I guess.

A serviceable but unremarkable dubbel. Doesn't have the richness and big malt flavour I'd like but it was decent and does have a malty flavour with a decent fruity hit without being sickly.

opalescent reddishdark amber colour, huge, dense beige-ish head; aroma of dried fruits like plum and sour cherry, toffee and biscuit notes, as well as some floral and herbal notes, too; taste of some roasted rye bread, burnt plum jam and sugar and hints of licorice; good one

Smoke and florals. Some roasted leather like you forgot your leather jacket outside in the summer for a week. Pours brown with ok head. Clean finish. Some booze. Elements don't mix super well.

F: big, beige, long lasting. C: dark brown, hazy. A: bit dark malts, chocolate, fruity, cherries, bit plums, red fruits, caramel. T: malty, bit nutty, dark fruits, caramel, dark cherries, medium body and carbonation, ok for the style yet simple, 33cl bottle from Cora Woluwe-Saint-Lambert in Brussels.
