Brune abbey beer with second fermentation in the bottle. Dark coloured, this beer releases caramelised, markedly spicy aromas and has a very pleasant bitter-sweet flavour. 70 EBC.

clear brown, fluffy light brown head. aroma is nutty, caramel, faint belgian yeat, figs, honey. flavor is dark fruits, syrup, figs, hints of alc and hints of begian yeast.. flavor is to me rather messy, but it tastes quite well nevertheless, very fruity, the dried dark fruits and syrup almost have an artifical note to it, it is quite prominent. In any case, a good fruity dubbel with lots of flavor.

33 cl bottle, served in La Trappe chalice. Pours dark liver brown with greyish foamy sticky head, not very long-lived. Aroma is low: dates, prunes, cocoa, nutmeg, chicory. In the mouth it feels watery, fizzy, rather tasteless with a short-lived not bitter at all finish. Perhaps the Aulne ale that I’ve enjoyed least.

Bottle shared. Murky dark brown with a medium tan head. Aroma of weird fruity notes, plastic, herbs, toffee, sugar, red fruit and sweet malt. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and light moderate bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

330 ml bottle, from HiperDino, Puerto de la Cruz. ABV is 6%. Hazy dark brown colour, moderate off-white head. Moderate aroma, some malts, hints of caramel and brown sugar. Malty flavour but not too sweet, more distinct notes of caramel and brown sugar now, very moderate hops. Clearly a drinkable beer, but very far from trappist quality.

Piwo o kremowej bezowej piance. Brazowe i mętne. Karmelowo czekoladowe. Bardzo słodkawe glownie daktyle i posmak mydlin czy mydla co niespecjalnie mi przypadlo do gustu. Na zakończenie smak awokado.
