Hoppy Birthday is known as “The world’s most celebrated beer.” A Pale Ale, it benefits from a heavy dose of dry-hopping and is truly a gift to the senses. This bold brew has an intense hop-bitterness, but the pine aroma is the star of the show.

Pours rather clear blonde, small white head. Smell is bit resinous, very mild oxidation notes. Taste is bit to far gone in terms of oxidation. The freshness is already lost. Some resinous hops remain, and the beer doesn't taste like cardboard yet. However, I feel this one doesn't shine anymore the way it should.

355 ml bottle.
Golden-amber, clear body, with a medium, fluffy, lacing, off-white head.
Aroma of pine needles, grapefruit, passion fruit, guava, some biscuit.
Tastes similar, a bit less fruity.
Medium, slick mouthfeel, with a moderate carbonation.
Finishes crisp, dry, bitter, piney, zesty, medium fruity, subtly sweet.

Tasty. Crisp, fresh and very well balanced, with lovely pine notes throughout, supported by tropical fruits and just enough malt body. Beautiful, old-school SIPA.

Amber color, white head with good retention, some lacing. Aroma has notes of grapefruits, orange zest and resin hops. Favor is quite similar as aroma dominated by orange zest and pine. Bittery final, good maltiness, some fruitness.
