750ml bottle [#052]. Jet black colour with huge, thick, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, dark brown head. Chocolately, slightly roasty, minimally smoky, nutty and spicy, dark malty aroma, hints of treacle, caramel, a touch of nougat, vanilla, toffee, liquorice, peat and ashes. Taste is subtly sweet-ish and dry roasty, chocolately and minimally smoky, dark malty, minimally spicy, hints of treacle and caramel, peat, leather, diluted hints of toffee and nougat, ashes and tarmac; creamy, watery-oily texture, smooth and soft, minimally sticky palate. Relatively easy drinkable - none pronounced vestiges of alcohol at least.

Bottle shared with Erzengel. A black beer with a mid-sized most good lasting beige head. Aroma of dark roasted malt, coffee, liqourice, wood. Taste of dark roasted malt, coffee, some wood, ash, liqourice.

Bottle 144, bought at BeyondBeer, Hamburg. Intense deep nose, lots of chocolate and roast, thick and rich. The beer starts mild and chocolaty, fresh and round. Very smooth with nice hints of chocolate and coffee, roast and dark dried fruit. Intense deep and rich, thick with a creamy body. Nice bitter with hints of wood over a deep coffee roasted body. Great!

Aus der Flasche im Muted Horn Berlin 2017-03 getrunken. Was ist das? Kalter Kaffee aus einen Aschenbecher? Und dann noch dieser junge dänische Whisk(e)y wo Jim Murry (Whisky Bible) schon sagte das der wie ein Ardbeg aus den 1970er schmeckt. Wohl kaum. Aber zurück zum Bier. Dieses Bier in der Nase noch recht spannend aber am Gaumen ist es verdammt trocken und wirkt mit seinen Aromen sehr unharmonisch. Nein das ist nicht mein Ding.
