Pale gold in colour, the nose is reminiscent of oranges, with hints of tropical fruit salad with slight hint of boozy, fruit salad sweetness. On the tongue, the mouthfeel is big and smooth from the liberal use of wheat and oats which also contributes to a slight biscuit-y sweetness; whilst the Amarillo and Motueka hops provide a strong orange, mango and papaya flavours. Rounded out with a lingering bitterness this is a deceptively drinkable summer beer.

Keg at the Waterloo Tap, 01/09/17. Hazed golden pour with a big old creamy white head. Nose is mellow citrics, bread dough, tangerine, straw, faint banana, light spice. Taste comprises mandarin, chalky minerals, tangerine, citric tinged straw, lemon rind, clove, yeast ... almost crossing into saison territory. Medium bodied, spritzy carbonation, semi drying close with moderate hop bitterness. So so affair ... overcarbed for me and a touch muddled.

Keg, back from Dead. Consumed at Croydon Crafty. It pours cloudy deep gold with a medium white head. The aroma is soft, sweet, juicy, stewed orange, peach, marmalade, candy, bread and a touch of banana. The taste is crisp, dry, bitter, wheaten bread, green banana, pretty zesty, waxy, lemony action, minerals, pithy, white pepper, pine and grass with a drying finish. Medium body and moderate, prickly carbonation. Alreet., but I’m not sure the balance is quite there.

Cask at the London Brewers Market. Pours clear gold with a frothy white head. The nose holds bright, zesty and citrusy hops, wheat, pale bread. Medium sweet flavor with ripening tangerine, peach, wheat, bread, melon, slight pine, dank grass. Medium bodied with fine carbonation; great condition. Lightly resinous on the finish with plump, juicy citrus, subtle pine, some tropical fruits, moist and doughy wheat bread. The more I drink of it the more I like it.

Cask gravity at the 2015 London Drinker beer festival. Clear golden yellow coloured pour with a lasting loose white head. Aroma is spicy hop, earthy wheat grains, bit dirty, and some orange rind. Flavour is sticky resinous dirty pine needles, touch earthy, orange rind lingers. Palate is flabby, bit sticky resinous hop moderate to low carbonation. Not sold on this.
