Light copper colour with thin lacy head. Aroma and flavour have a great deal of powerful and complex hop notes. Very floral and citrusy with a little caramel too.

Bottle from Marks & Spencer, Manchester. Golden-amber with a thin head. Stated pale ale with a clear strength to it, but there’s lots of fruitiness here too, especially in its nose.

Unclear, golden to amber colored, medium- frothy off white head. Aroma is of some malt, light caramel, perfumey floral and fruity medium hoppy. Taste is medium sweet malt, some light caramel, floral and perfumey moderate hops, some fruit, medium bitterness, dry finish, some unneeded phenolic notes, bit resin. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, oily.

330ml bottle: BBE Feb 2017. Poured into a Leffe badged chalice at home on 12th Jan 2017. Almost clear pour, old gold body, full off-white head. Piny hops in the nose, with a grapefruit twist in the flavour: fairly bitter, yet there is a subtle sweetness below the surface also. Decent.

Bottle from Marks and Spencer, Enniskillen [120516]
Dark amber, soft hazy, frothy white head
Aroma of citrus zest, fresh hops, lemon, vibrant, zesty
Taste of grapefruit, lemon zest, pungent zesty hops, good hops but a smoky hay note spoils it
Palate - Soft carb, medium body. Finish is a bit dry, grapefruit, light smoky hay malt in the linger
Overall - I don’t like smoky hay I sometimes detect in beer - if this didn’t have it would be scoring much higher. Disappointed as the hops were good - worth a revisit

Bottle at home. Needs to breathe a while. Hazy yellow golden with thin white head. Sweet malts, strong grassy hop notes and nutmeg, pineapple, grapefruit. Medium sweet and over medium bitter with a zesty note in finish. Medium body, soft carbonation, prickly and chalky feel. Tastes like hop pellets.
