Robust and strapping, our Scotch Ale takes BIG Beers to a whole new level. Rich malt balances perfectly with delicate hops to provide a concentrated and intense flavor; an ideal companion for hearty foods, or as a meal unto itself. Allow this ale to warm slightly in your glass to enhance its truly bold character. Sharing is encouraged, as this is one beer that lives up to its name! Hey! No peeking! Slainté!

Reviewed from notes.
Can to thistle.
Appearance: copper to auburn-ish to brown color with a finger's worth of white foamy lace which slid off nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: caramel to toffee sweetness, subtle smoke, light earthiness, some toasted nuts, subtle grassiness
Flavor: meshes those prior noted aromas together in a malty to smoky sweet sort of way; finishes malty sweet
Texture: light to medium bodied, some sort of sessionability to this, very smooth along the tongue
Overall: not bad but where's the "peaty" character? Hmmmm...well, I believe I could still come back to if I could.

Big notes of caramel malts, boozy bread, and butterscotch pudding. Some light hoping, thick mouthfeel, and a dry roasty finish. Light caramel lingers with a touch of coffee. Alcohol is hidden very well, a nice sipper.

Freezing Midtown bottle share. Clear amber with some light beige foam. Sweet honey malty nose, soft and pillowy. Tastes malty, sweet and light raw spice in the finish. Has still character although it drinks quite easy overall. Nice bitter tingle in the finish, dry and not much sweetness. Pint material.

Can from Deeside Drinks Emporium. Hazy ruby body with a medium off-white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of caramel, toffee apple and strawberry syrup. Flavour of maple syrup, peppery malt and fig rolls. Medium body with a chewy mouthfeel. Light fizz. Flavoursome but heavy going.
