300ml bottle [BBE April 2013]. Clear ruby red glowing brown colour with huge, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Fruity aroma has notes of red and black currant, bramble, cola. a touch of yeast. Taste is initially minimally sweet fruity with hints of dark berries, intense yeasty overtones, later the yeasty notes give way for minimally tart fruity notes with a touch of cherry liquor and dry overtones of fruit parings; prickling carbonation, slightly sticky palate. Nice, fruity and drinkable Belgian Ale. Thumbs up!

Brown beer, cream head. Aroma of caramel, roasted malts and brown sugar. Light sweet flavour, light bitter. Medium finish, roasted malts with a sweet touch.
Better than expected.

Bottle: Almost clear, ruby-amber coloured, persistent small off-white head, sweet and clear caramelly-fruity nose with a well hidden bitterness; moderate to solid sweet-bitter flavour, quite full bodied, but a bit fizzy; lingering sweetish malty-fruity finish, followed by a slight alcohol-burn in the aftertaste. Nice....

(bottle, 30cl) Clear, brown colour with a beige and tall foamy head. Toasty malty, slightly sugary aroma with notes of caramel, chocolate, red berries and strawberries. Moderately sweet flavour, medium to light bodied with a soft carbonation. Rather slim malty base with toasty caramel accents, accompanied by berry fruits and a tinge of chocolate; notes of alcohol show up during the finish. 15.X.12

30 cl. bottle @ home. Red brown with an off-white head. bitter sweet with some caramel in it. A very pleasant beer and a change of pace in regard to all the other (Belgian) brunes.

Soft, malty flavour. Has a light sweetness. Texture is a bit thin. Overall a nice but atypical ’brune’ beer.

Color is nice dark brown/red. Smell sweetness and something I don’t like. Taste too sweet and unbalanced.
