On tap in the Arendsnest. Clear brown beer. Short off white head. Light dry palate. Sweetish malt with some fruit underneath. Light dry finish with a mildly bitter hop aftertaste. Not bad.

Bottle 30cl.Clear medium brown color with a small, vortually none appearance, virtually none lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, oxidide malt, light bread. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20090724]

Bottle 30 cl. Courtesy of KimJohansen. Pours a clear dark amber golden with a rough beige head. Aroma of burned caramel and overripe fruit. Medium body, burned caramel and roasted malt - somewhat oxidized. Subdued bitterness. 240709

33 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden deep amber with small yeast floaties. Fruity and light tea-bag like hops aroma. Sweet caramelish and solid malt flavoured. Subdued hops bitterness coming through. Dry hoppy finish.

On tap at Bruxelles Haarlem. Clear ruby brown colour, thick beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate and some vinous sour aroma. Flavour is malty, sour like Goudenband, light fruity and some chocolate, light sour-bitter finish. Medium bodied. This beer was clearly infected - I even got it for free after making a remark on the sourness - but was still enjoyable, it even tasted a bit like a Flemish brown ale/sour ale. Will re-rate this one when I get a fresh sample.

Bottle. Reddish brown beer with a very strong head. The aroma is lightly roasted and malty, and the flavour is vinous, roasted and malty with a large amount of spice and winter fruits. Overall a nice beer.

Bottled(300ml). -Reddish/brown coloured, medium sized cappuccino head, sweet cardboard nose. Sweet malty, light chocolate and caramel taste with notes of dried fruits and herbs. Hint of nuts in the light metallic finish. No trace of 6.5% at all.
