Our sparkling Belgian Style Farmhouse Ale is wine barrel-aged with an abundance of hand-zested orange peel. Spicy white pepper notes contrast the citrus tartness. The light, refreshing, creamy vanilla finish will excite those fond of Champagne. Originally brewed by Belgian farmers to attract the best farm hands, we were inspired to brew an exceptional ale as inviting as the original Belgian Farmhouse ales. Light and effervescent, we named it for our founder’s granddaughter Sofie.

Bottle from Tesco Supermarket, Rochdale. Slightly hazy golden coloured brew. Well carbonated, perhaps overly so, it's yeasty, slightly sweet, and a fruity saison.

Sofie was probably the first saison I ever had, several lifetimes ago. I loved witbiers then and this still tastes like one. Good bev. Can taste a hint of wine barrel.

Very slightly hazy pale gold with a lovely bubbly white head, and a soft fruity aroma with a dusty, yeasty kind of vibe. The mouthfeel is zesty and spritzy, like a sparkling wine, and you're getting grapes and melon in the flavour along with some tart apples and citrus fruit, and a hint of spice in the finish. Slips down wonderfully and is fabulously refreshing
