Aus dunklem Malz und feinstem Edelhopfen gebraut – nach einem alten Klosterrezept. Bei diesem Bier sagt der Name eigentlich alles. Dieses Bier ist die klare Aussage, dass auch der heutige Brautechniker seinen Respekt vor der alten Braukunst nicht verloren hat.

One of Silke’s fifty. Brown with a frothy to creamy white head. Licorice and caramel aroma. Taste is moderate sweet with a touch of grain and mineral bitterness at the end. Lingering licorice. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation. Simple. Okay, but forgettable.

50cl bottle from a trade with Mariusz, thanks. A clear dark amber beer with a off white head. Aroma of mild caramelized and grainy malt. Taste of caramelized bitter malt, grains, some nuts.

Amber with a small white head. Bready malt and caramel aroma. Rich and malty sweet flavour with some hop bitterness.

Bottle. Chocolate malt and grassy hops aroma.. Dark brown color with moderate head. Dark chocolate malt flavor - sharp grassy hops finish. Sharper and crisper than the typical dunkel..
