Half liter can from the Costco Advent calendar. Estery nose of clove, banana, orange, wheat. Very cloudy pale god with a thick head. Sweet, rich, super spicy. Tons of clove, nutmeg, light banana and citrus, hints of vanilla and violets. Great one. Rich but not heavy. Super unique.

One of Silke’s 50 beers. Deep gold with a frothy, white head that fades away. Banana and toffee aroma. A touch floral. Recurring hints of smoked bacon—unusual for such something so „hell“. Taste is bittersweet up front, mildly bitter at the back, again with faint hints of smoke. Medium bodied, mild carbonation. An interesting one.

Can: Hazy, golden to deep golden, mid-sized creamy and stable off-white head, moderate to solid sweet-sourish nose of bready-wheaty malt, bananas and citrus-fruits well detectable underneath; moderate to solid - as well - sweet-sourish flavour, molecular traces of bitterness, full bodied with a creamy MF; shorter sweet-sourish citrusy and bananey finish. Pleasant Session-Weizen-Bock…

Super clear, copper and light bronze coloured body with a golden glow and a good, three to four centimetre tall just off-white head that stays afloat for a while. Aroma of crisp wheat, light alcohol, bunches of sugars including syrup, treacle, raisins, figs and a deep dose of caramelised sugars, but some light hops come through the nose as well. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong rich malt and syrupy sweet bite with a lot of wheat and grain coming through, but a smooth and deep flavour throughout that provides a lot of real wheat, malt, sugar and alcohol flavours - very nice and surprisingly smooth! Aftertaste shows some good rich malt flavours with a lot of smoother wheats, some syrup and deep sweetness that actually does show a light fruity bite, but also a hint of alcohol at the end, which makes sense, considering the ABV in this one (especially compared to the others). Overall, a very nice weizenbock, that is perfect for a more sedate and calming day with cooler weather, just like Christmas Eve and a good option to have if you find it on your journeys! I sampled this 50 cL can as Day #24 from the Costco Advent Calendar, purchased at my local Costco here in Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia in October 2020, sampled while wrapping presents for my kids on Christmas Eve, 2020.

Final beer of the Costco advent calendar! And a great way to finish, with a weizen bock, my favourite of German styles. Banana and some light florals, citrus. Soft carbonation and nice overall mouth feel. Pours hazy orange with good head and lacing. Some clove. Light perfumy finish with a touch of tang. Can.

Can from the 2020 CostCo Advent box. Pours translucent gold with a huge creamy white head. Aroma of banana and yeast/spice over light toffee. Med body or better. Flavor is banana, clove over something more than pale malt but less than toffee. Not dry, but far from sweet. Clove subs for bitter. Pretty good drink.

Banana, orange, clove, wheat malt, and straw aroma. Hazy golden yellow with moderate head. Moderately sweet banana, orange, clove, wheat malt, and mildly bitter/astringent fresh hay flavor. Good body. Nice - a good finish to the advent calendar.
