250ml bottle. Opalescent, yellow-ish golden colour with small, creamy, fading, minimally lacing, snow-white head. Herbal, slightly funky, minimally tangy aroma, notes of juniper berry, hints of gin and botanicals, some laurel, a touch of woodruff, overtones of oak and vanilla, rosemary. Taste is mildly tart, fruity, herbal, citric, notes of old lemon peel, a touch of juniper, overtones of oak and vanilla, very subtle residual sweetness. Watery-oily texture, smooth and soft palate, soft carbonation. Very mild, well balanced - pretty good. Combined with the corresponding Whiskey: Almost neutralized aroma; taste exposes the oaky and vanilla flavours on a mild, tart basis, very nice creamy texture and palate. Funny idea.

Draught at KCBD19 as Buddelship/Bunthaus Whisky Sour. Pungent vanilla and funky acid aroma. Cloudy golden colour. Stable white head. The flavour is nicely citric with a distinct vanilla note, some tobacco. Creamy and nicely citric. Also quite drinkable. 838318

Nice fruity sour beginning. Easy to drink with a great woody lemon sourness. Fruity in the end with a nice sour woody finish. Very nice.

0,25 l bottle from Craft Beer Store, Hamburg. Bundle with Buddelship Whiskey. Stand alone rating: Unclear golden in the glass, no head. Intensive sour fruity smell. Taste starts sour, not as strong as its smells. Hints of herbs. Caramel with decent sweetness to the end. Really nice one.

The two breweries recommend to mix both beers. Smells medical fruity. The Sour dominates the 50/50 mix. A smooth drink, no boozy whiskey taste. Nice experiment. Not rated.

25cl bottle. A clear yellow golden colour, small white head. Aroma of sour lime fruit, herbs, ginger. Taste of sour grapes, herbs, lime.

Runder, fein säuerlicher Beginn. Rosmarin, Limette, hohe Süffigkeit. Spritzig, die Kräuternoten bleiben rund. Vollmundig, mittellanger Abgang. Lecker! 12/8/9/9/12/9
