Soft malt aroma, minimal head, clear copper body. Flavour is soft hazelnuts and dark bread. Nice mouthfeel. Quaffable and subtle, certainly satisfactory.

Poured from the cask. Orangey brown with minimal off white head. Light floral and toffee malt. A little bland.

Draft - Caramel, grains and a bitterness. Clear gold with a thin white head. Tastes just as it smells, bitterness is a little higher than expected for an English style, but still good. A slight perfume in the finish.

Although Granite’s best bitter special is superior (this one has a touch less hops etc.), this one is certainly not a bad bitter by any means. Almost has a sweet aroma, though the taste is solid hops without the sweetness. On tap at Toronto.

From the cask at C’est What? in Toronto. A smooth, well-balanced, easy-drinking session beer with good caramel malt and ok aroma hopping. Very reliable, though not as interesting as the special dry-hopped version.

Again, smells of buttersctch, but with maple and butter. Caramleized malts but the beer is thin.

Lovely. If I wasn't so lazy I'd drink this a lot more often................
