STEENBRUGGE Wit-Blanche abbey beer is a wheat beer brewed with 40% unmalted wheat and 60% malt. It has a refreshing flavour and a fruity, lightly smoked yeast aroma combined with the subtle Bruges “gruut” blend of herbs and spices, with an emphasis on coriander and Curaçao.

Bottle from Nisa, Hebden Bridge. Golden-blonde with a very thin head. A lot more fruity-floral-herbal than you might expect from a Witbier, but some of its more recognisable styling exists.

Glaasje van de tap gedronken in Brugge. Bier met de traditionele bleek gelige kleur. Licht troebel.

Bottle at Dekkers, sisters birthday. Hazy pale golden with white head. Dry wheat, light sour grain, lemon, coriander seed. Light sweet and moderate bitter. Thin body and average carbonation. Quite dry, watery, and a light lemony sour finish. --- Beer merged from original tick of Steenbrugge Blanche on 26 Dec 2017 at 11:24 - Score: 6. Original review text: 3
