Cask at Brewery Tap, Chester Pours the classic bitter brown colour with a small white head and good lacing. Mainly malts in the nose but also hints of apple. In the mouth it is creamy with caramel and raisins. Finish is more hoppy tohugh. Pleasant enough bitter beer.

Half-pint, cask ale, at Nag's Head. Shared with Finn. Close-to-clear dark brown body, filmy layer, dotted spots on the glass. Promising aromas of dark malts and herbal hops. Brown malty flavours, hints of caramel and earth, balanced by dark fruits. Bittersweet finish. Pleasing. (Reading 20.10.2019).

[Cask at the Bell, Waltham St Lawrence.] A reddish amber pour with a ring of white head; earthy and fruity aroma; dry in the mouth with spicy hops upfront and a bittersweet nutty malt body. A rather good bitter, perfect in the beer garden on a late summer evening.
