500ml Bottle from Doddington Hall Farm Shop. Colour is dark amber, with a creamy tan head. Aroma has spice and a citrus bitterness. Taste has a toasty bitterness. I didn’t get the honey mentioned in the write up but others might.

Cask at JDW Charlie Hall; hazy amber pour small white head, aroma as a hint of fruit, it’s happened again this has a fault and it is butterscotch diacetly, only a faint hint of fruit in the taste and some malts.

On cask @ the Haymarket, Pours dark golden with decent head. The nose is of meadowsweet with a pale malt profile. The taste is of pale malt and apples. The palate is medium bodied and textured, slightly drying but fresh. Overall solid but not worth returning for.

Last pub on my mini pub crawl 10th Feb 2012: my local Spoons. Hand pulled pint of yet another golden bitter: the market is overflowing with lager look-a-likes and I’m begining to tire of them. To be fair however this isn’t boring or bland, just another run-of-the-mill refreshing hop fronted ale everyone else is brewing at the moment. Floral and citrus feel to both the nose and taste, nothing wrong with it, another Mr Average: I’m the problem!

Cask at the Willow Walk (JDW), Victoria. Amber with a thin cream head; floral aroma; light with a sweet floral flavour, perhaps a touch of honey; the finish is biscuity and lightly bitter. Not very exciting.
