Bottle. A very good looking beer, it poured golden brown with a decent, long-lived light tan head. The aroma was not much to comment on; very faint hoppiness, which was disappointing given the style and the description. The palate is very nice; medium bodied with good carbonation. The flavour is a bit of a let down. It is dominated by penty of bitterness, which is fine for this style, but it lacks balance. The foretaste has some pleasant complexity of fruit (apples?), malt and maybe chocolate, but it is very short-lived, transitioning quickly to plenty of hoppy bitterness, which had nothing to balance it. Overall it is a decent IPA, but there is room for improvement.

Bottle. Frothy white fair mostly deminishing head. Amber colour. Moderate malty and hoppy aroma. Not great. Heavy bitter flavor. Very alcoholic and lacks flower-notes. Average finisah. Oily palate. Not a great IPA tastes more like a good malt liquer.

Bottle. Pours a clear amber color with a longlasting off-white head. Malty and slightly hoppy aroma with some hints of citrus. Malty grainy and hoppy flavor. Has a long malty finish with some hoppy hints and nice bitterness in the aftertaste.

A hazy amber beer with a white head. The aroma is sweet with caramel being the most dominant note, while the flavor is sweet with notes of both caramel and straw. Not impressive.

(Bottle 33 cl) Pours a beautiful, clear amber with a creamy, off-white head. Aromatic, hoppy nose. Medium body with vague hints of caramel. Markedly hoppy finish - but it’s not an overly refined hoppiness. Thanks to Highlandlad for this one. 150306

Golden color. Poor aroma, flavor with a lot of sweet caramel. Strong ending bitterness. Useless. No IPA in here.

Clear copper color, short off-white head. Aroma of english hop, bit fruity. Dry taste, bitter, bit malty. Quite ok, especially aroma.

Clear amber coloured body with a thin off-white head. Aroma of peaches, caramel, malt, some hops and a lot of sugar. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong sugary flavours with light hops and a more pronounced malt. Aftertaste sweet but short. Overall, a nice beer-not an IPA that us Americans are used to-but a welcome treat ’down under’. I sampled this 345 mL bottle (which consequently contains 1.6 standard drinks?) purchased from a bottle shop in St. Kilda (Melbourne), Australia.

Bottled. Amber colour. Flowery hop aroma. Malty, sweet an dvery hoppy. Very bitter, resiny finish. A great and authentic IPA, and also the most well hopped beer I can remember to have sampled fromthe southern hemisphere.
