Classic strong pale ale with a light gold appearance with a creamy white head which remains throughout the drink. Complex hoppy aroma due to lots of Styrian hops. Delicate fruity malt taste and low in carbonation makes this beer hugely drinkable and sessionable whilst standing out from the crowd.

Cask @ Dirty Dicks, Halifax. Deep amber with a thick frothy head. Has a dry tasting character with a fairly crisp hop-malt balance without being flavoursome.

Bottle. Archer Road Beer Stop, Sheffield. Clear amber. A few bubbles of white head. Caramel malts. Some fruit. Taste is light sweet. Lots of carbonation. Finishes light sweet. Struggling to see the point.

Half pint, hand-pulled cask ale at York Tap. Bright copper coloured body under a patchy surface leaving fine lacing behind. Mild smell of caramel malts. Taste follows the nose with brown malts to the fore added by dried fruits. Bittersweet end. Easy to drink and quite alright, however, a rather strange kind of an ipa (York 10.07.2014).
