This striking and original beer is surprisingly easy to quaff. Three grades of crystal malt make a ruby/tawny colour and a body of dark toffee and a delicate finish of liquorice and ornage.

50cl bottle from the brewery. Appearance - dark brown with an orangey chink. Fluffy head. Nose - red fruits and toffee, biscuit edge. Taste - more red fruits, this time dominating the toffee and biscuits. Palate - medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Very balanced. Overall - yeah, good ESB. Great malt bill mix!
