The appearance of this exceptional beer is matched only by its taste! To make our Framboise, we add raspberry juice to our lambic. That gives it a delicate fruity aroma and a beautiful dark pink colour, just like the dress I wore to our cousin Willy's wedding. (But that's of no interest to you since you undoubtedly don't know Willy). Framboise is served as an aperitif, but I also use it in cooking. And when I don't finish the bottle in my preparations, I finish it in my glass.

Aroma is very sweet and a bit artificial. Lots of raspberry sweetness in the flavour and a light sharpness in the finish.

Pours cloudy dark red with a lasting, foamy, pink head. The aroma contains raspberries, strawberry jam, yoghurt, raspberry seeds, sugar. It tastes medium to heavy fruity sweet and light funky sour, some sweet & sour cherry, yoghurt. Long, sweet finish, lingering raspberry, slightly tart. Medium body, sticky/syrupy texture, fizzy carbonation. Oh so lovely to drink. (Edited 23/5/18)

355ml bottle. Pours a cloudy, dark, reddish-purple, with a medium, frothy, long lasting, pink head that laces. Sweet and tart aroma of raspberries. Sweet flavour of raspberries with a dry, tart, acidic finish. Light body with a sticky texture and soft carbonation. Surprisingly good at 2.5% ABV.

Bottle from Drinkshop. Quite balanced in terms of basic flavours - there is moderate sourness and only light to moderate sweetness. Remains rather dry overall. The raspberry presence is heavy and almost overwhelming. Nothing else in aroma and little else in flavour. Tasty and easy drinking however.

0.25 l bottle from De Bierkoning, bottled in june 2015 (4 months old). Hazy, deep red with a thin, soapy, quickly diminishing, pinkish white head. Artificially sweetish-fruity aroma of raspberries, rose hips and sherbet powder. Sweet-sourish, fruity taste of raspberries, cherries and sherbet powder, followed by a short, slightly tart and sweet-fruity finish. Thin to medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Way too sweet, not really balanced. Still lots of fruit in it but the sugar and the sweetener are overwhelming. Not good.

Keg at Brewdog Edinburgh. Pours clear dark red with a thin ring of pink head. Aromas of raspberry jam, faint chalky note. Taste is helluva sweet. Lots of sweet raspberry dessert flavours. Sweet finish.
