Sample from bottle at Brekeriet Bar 2015. Hazy golden/orange with a white head. Sweetish with malt, dried fruit, some wood, yeast and light honey. The body was full and the carbonation lively. Warming alcohol in the finish.

750 ml bottle. Pours a cloudy gold//Amber with moderate retentive head. Aromas of fruity phenols, honey, and light toasted malts. Flavors of honey, Belgian yeast, and dried stoned fruit. Smooth. Beautiful.

Bottle at gollem. Pours clear blonde. Good white head, smell is sharp malty. Taste is bitter, sharp, maltsweetness, very high carbo. Bit perfumed, but not nearly as much as other champagne beers. Tastes a bit like a tripel

Bottle 750ml @ home
Pours slightly hazy golden with a white head. Aroma has notes of malt, dried fruits, alcohol, floral, sugar and hint of yeast. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long warm, floral and fruity finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is fizzy

A vivid, golden beer with a big and blond head. The aroma is fruitful and slightly aromatic, some citrusfruits, spices and flowers, hint of honey and alcohol. Taste is fruitful, spices, some alcohol in the end. Medium bodied, too much of carbonation, but that calms down after whirling. Spicy and fruitiful beer but it could be more complex and alcohol should be hidden better. Straightforward without sophistication of the external habitus. Good beer even the some criticism.

Another of De Landtsheer’s champagne beers, launched in 2005 to celebrate the 175th birthday of the nation of Belgium. Cream white, firm, thick, crackling head, light yellow blonde colour, clear with tiny yeast bits floating around. Pale malts in the nose, green apple, some pineapple, lemon peel, dry sherry, vanilla, mint, rose petals, fennel, nutmeg. Light and rounded ’pils malts’ onset, apple, dry with spritzy ’champenoise’ carbonation as expected from the style, spicy notes, bit earthy, sherry- and even saison-like with subtle sourness and equally subtle saltiness, finishing in grassy and peppery hop bitterishness, alcohol well hidden. Notably dryer than its predecessor, a great apéritif and interesting, but honestly speaking, I had expected a more luxurious edition of Malheur Bière Brut to celebrate the birthday of our beery nation...

750ml cork and a wire bottle with a golden neck. Ordered through bestillingsutvalget at Vinmonopolet. Shot followed by smoke when opened. A fair white head to a misty golden body. Wheat and ripe fruits on the nose. Mid-sweet taste of yellow apples, banana, peach and bread. Rather sweet fruity ending. Foamy in the mouth. Partially refreshing, far from great though (shared with Finn and djoeye, Tromsø 05.08.2014).

Flaske 750ml fra Vinmonopolet, Bestillingsutvalget. Fellesinnkjøp med Rune. Delt med ham og djoeye på Nerstranda 5 Aug 14. Gylden. Grumsete. Lavt skum. Aroma av syrlige epler. Mye kullsyre. Smaken er også syrlige epler. Bra - men uvariert. OBS: Denne var noen måneder over dato. Kan ha hatt betydning for kvaliteten. Ble faktisk solgt av Polet i “utgått” tilstand.

From bottle at a tasting at Bar & Cigar. Clear golden with a large, fluffy, white head. Quite yeasty aroma with lots of fruits and berries, malt and just a hint of spices. Moderate sweet with nice carbonation. Moderate sweet with a surprisingly dry finish. Easy to drink and very refreshing. Nice one!
