Bottled. Golden colour, huge white creamy head. Aroma of fruits, barnyard and sugar. Flavour is barnyardish, soapy and fruity. Dry alcohol in finish. About beerstyle I think it was more like saison meets lager and wheat beer than strong ale...

(Bottle 75 cl) Unclear pilsener golden with a rather handsome, creamy head. Aroma of yeast and malt. Rather heavily carbonated - huge, vulgar bubbles campagne style. Sweetish malty flavour - and nothing much more really. Surprisingly ordinary. 010106

Bottled vintage 2005
Pale yellow color, sparklng, huge white head. Fruity and barnyard nose: horse blanket, apricot, malts. Fruity, hoppy, a bit sticky, like drinking sweet white wine. I like the earthy notes found here. Hops in the aftertaste. Good beer but not the world premium class like the Malheurs I have sampled before.

Bottle. Slightly hoppy aroma, perhaps a little sweetness too. Pale golden colour, small white head. Big-bubbled, but stable. Peppery flavour. Swells in mouth, perhaps a little too warm. Satisfying and potent when hungry. Dry finish, and quite clean.

Bottled at Belgian Beer Weekend 2005, Brussels, Belgium.
Murky blond body. Mostly lasting, creamy white head. Nose of hops and hints of malts. Moderately sweet unitial flavour, lightly sweet finish. I prefer the other two Malheur Bruts.

Good white, fluffy head; clear-golden beer, little carbonation. Very pronounced malts nose, greenmalt. Sharp, but sweet roasted taste, faint vanilla. Some sourness, all due to CO². Despite little visible carbonation, quite fizzy MF. Aftertaste is soft-sweet, bit sugar-icing like. This is enormously difficult to describe; as given it sounds like a "luxus pilsener". But be assured, it is MUCH better than that. Just quite neutral - a bit like a Chivas Regal Royal Salute...
