500ml bottle from Dan Murphy, Hurstville. Pours a dark brown-black colour with a reddish tinge. Foamy tan head leaving lacing. Aroma of roast malt, molasses, toffee, vanilla, orange. Taste is sweetish, roasted, malty, brown sugar, toffee, with an orangey hop earthy bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry tangy roasty bitter finish. Quite drinkable.

500ml bottle muled back from Australia. Pours very dark brown with a little white head. Lots of orange, grapefruit, lemon, touch of chocolate malt and some roastiness. Very peppery finish. It’s pretty nice, but at 8% I’m just expecting more. More flavour, more body, more oomph. As it is, pretty nice is about all I can say.

Aromas of coffee, cherry, lemon, grapefruit, caramel. Tastes of dusty, burned caramel, roasted coffee, cherry and tons of grapefruit and warming alcohol. Absolute ripper.
