A pretty perfect old school WCIPA with just a hint of modernity. Heaps of grapefruit, pine and resin but without the really hard core bitterness of the classics. After a few years chasing the haze craze, this is the perfect beer to take me back to my roots. Only criticism - can needs to be bigger. Beer has inexplicably disappeared.

Sampled from the tap at the brewery. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has citrus rind and pine with a touch of grain underlying. Flavor has bitter citrus with s touch if pine and bread backing.

Slightly hazy golden amber color. Sharp piney nose with cracker malt backbone. Nice dry mouth with aggressive bitterness. Good piney citrus character. Well balanced. Lower abv but still a bit warming. Slightly resiny finish with slight coating on mouth. Decent

On tap at the brewery. Pours gold. Pine, big pine forest thing in the aroma, floral, bit of orange peel, bit of lemon peel too, nice grounded biscuit finish. Certainly not a classic West Coast IPA but I like it.

Can. Hazy gold with a white head. Stopped pouring when it started to turn murky but it was quite early. Gentle tropical fruit and mandarin aroma with some light biscuit. Light bodied. Tastes much as smells. Not s clean as it might be. The taste has some grapefruit in it too. There’s a bit of harshness to the quite strong bitterness at the end. Doubt this has canned well. Only OK.

440ml can from Beer Cartel. Amber colour, white foam head leaving lacing and aroma of mango & passionfruit with resiny hops. Taste is malt caramel, some biscuit, tropical fruit and citrus grapefruit bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry tangy bitter finish. Nicely drinkable IPA.

Schooner on tap @ The Australian, The Rocks. Cloudy amber with thin white head. Fine constant carbonation. Fruity, hoppy, dry finish. Touch of malt late on. Solid IPA if unspectacular.
