SNAB introduces S.P.A. in 2000. Our American Pale Ale (APA) was unique in Europe at the time. Inspired by the hoppy and aromatic beers of the American west coast, snab brews a complex beer, rich in aroma and taste, easy to drink and thirst-quenching. The yeast comes from Oregon, the cascade and Amarillo hops from the Yakima Valley in Washington. dry-hopping is used to further refine and emphasize the pronounced hop character.

On tap @ Arendsnest. Golden to amber color, hazy. Sticky, rocky, off white head. Aroma’s: resin, some citrus, lotsa hops, even somewhat acidic retronasal. In contrast, the flavor is rather mild, a light malty sweetness, a little hoppy acidity, not much actually. Medium bodied. Finishes with herbal hops, but only mildly bitter.

On tap at Arendsnest. Pours a golden amber with a near white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of citrus with a hint of sweetness and a grain backbone. Flavor has a sweet citrus note with a bit of grass and a sweet grain backbone.

Clear golden colour, white head. Floral aroma, caramel, citrus, bit metallic. Metallic flavour, light bitter hops, some toffee, light sweetness. Bit thin. Light bitter finish, malts, pine, toffee, some hay and citrus. Quite nice, but not such a big fan of the toffee/caramel flavours.

Sharply hopped american ale. Has some notes of sweet fruit and toffee as well. A little thicker than the usual pale ale.

33cl bottle @ home. Unclear dark orange color, medium sized beige head that leaves fair lacing. Aroma is very fruity and hoppy, really nice. Taste malts, hops, fruityness, blossom, slightly grassy, light to moderately bitter. Very refreshing, balanced hoppy taste. Impressive, very nice brew indeed. Soft but suitable carbonation, medium body.
