Belgian Stout in the Irish style: light, dry, and freshly bitter with complex roasted notes. The scent is pleasantly fragranced by the presence of an English aromatic hop particularly appreciated by connoisseurs.

Bottle at home. Aroma is roasted malt, coffee, dark chocolate, touch of charcoal. Flavour is light sweet and medium roasty bitter. Body is light to medium. Excellent for a low abv Stout, light but very roasty and drinkable, a pleasant surprise.

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up from HOTM. Pours rich brown with a tight, creamy khaki head. Light sweet flavour with nice toasted dark malts, leather, earth, cocoa, aged berries. Light bodied with massaging carbonation. Balanced finish, rounded, more cocoa accents, roast, earth, toast. Great stuff.

Bottle - a really nice hybrid of dry Irish and Belgian export stout - dry, roasty, moderately bitter - bright fruitiness through the middle, followed by bakers chocolate and coffee - long, bitter chocolate finish - though strongly bitter on the end, it never becomes abrasive or overly acidic - it’s nice.

Bottle from Drinks Vanuxeem, Ploegsteert, Belgium. Pours black with a thinnish creamy beige head. Aromas of roasted malts, ash, chocolate and liquorice. Taste has more of the dark roasted malts, dark chocolate and some coffee and hints of dark fruits. Roasty chocolatey finish. Medium body, low carbonation and smooth mouthfeel. Very good stout that packs plenty of flavour for the 5% abv. Nice!
