375ml can from Dan Murphy's, Hurstville. Gluten Free. As "O'Brien Lager". Amber gold colour, bubbly white foam head and aroma of malt, grain. Taste is malty, grainy, with tangy fruity hop bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying bitter finish. Quite OK.

330ml bottle into schooner glass. Faint sweet nose. Pale amber beer with minimal head, a few bubbles. Chalky mineral water mouthfeel. Slight citric finish. Not bad. Easy drinking but forgettable.

From bottle. Only waft of floral notes on nose. Pale gold in colour. Bland taste and very, very thin mouthfeel. Depressing beer that make me very glad to be gluten tolerant.

Bottled. A golden beer with a thin white head. The aroma has notes of malt and some unfermented grain. The flavor is sweet with notes fo malt, lemon, and unfermented grain. Boring.

Bottle. Pours clear very pale straw. Aroma (when cold) is grassy / vegetable. Palate is thin and fizzy. The flavour is foul. There is a sweet start and some bitterness in the finish. Neither are particularly nice - the sweetness is cloying and the bitterness is harsh and metallic. But that isn’t really the problem. The problem is that it is overlaid on a horrible chemically / petrol / rubber taste. As the beer warms up, the aroma takes on these foul characteristics. Overall - this beer is not drinkable.

Pours pale yellow with a small head.Nose shows some fruity wine-like ester but is quite cloying and sickly sweet.Flavours are slightly perfumy with lots of sweet malt and a hint of nuts. Still has a white wine character which I’m not exactly partial to.Extremely light body, moderately high carbonation.
