Keg at Olde Ship Inn, Seahouses. Amber brown colour, creamy white foam head leaving lacing and malty cardboardy aroma. Taste is malty, chocolate hints, with slight fruitiness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi-dry finish. OK, abit bland.

Cask@The Kings Head, Lanchester, County Durham. Amber beer with a strong head. The aroma is lightly roasted, and the flavour is mildly toffee and bitter. Overall a reasonable hopped and gently roasted beer.

(Draught in Newcastle). Darker than Newcastle brown, more flavour too - but still a bit thin. Moderate head, good lacing. Drinkable, but not the best one around.
