Keg at the North End English Pub, Leiden, 26/09/15. Hazed orange amber topped with a moderate off White swirl. Nose is citric pith, light pine, caramel malt, straw. Taste comprises light pine needle, orange pith, melon, hint of bread. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Drinkable but very pedestrian for style ... lacks hops.

Post Borefts VII, Day 2 - Leiden walkabout. Tap at the North End English Pub. Hazy amber beer, good cream colour head. Palate is light and minerally crisp. Thin malts, trace of caramel. Mild piney hops, little citric peel. Light crisp finish. A bit hop light but quite drinkable.

IPA from Leiden, thanks to Craftmember for sharing. Thick and creamy, thickly lacing, egg-white head and warm, deep orange blonde colour, pretty clear at first but misty with deposit. Aroma of orange peel, tangerine, light pine, biscuit, caramel, damp cloth, peach, roasted pine nuts, strawberry. Taste fruity, subduedly sweet, peach, starfruit, apple peel, citrus peel fraîcheur, soft carbo, lean and supple mouthfeel with a caramelly, lightly toasted maltiness, ending in an aromatic, leafy bitterness, citrusy, spicy hoppiness, long and drying, with fruity yeastiness piercing through. Nice and balanced, quenching; seen its yeastiness, I’d rather consider this a hybrid between American style IPA and Belgian IPA.

Bottle. Clear light Amber with average off-white head. Slightly sweet malts with dry biscuit, lots of aroma hops with pine, flowers, grapefruit peel. Crisp and light IPA with not too much bitterness and dry finish. Nice.

33 cl. bottle @ the bungalow in Hooghalen, bought @ Mitra Beilen. Amber with an off-white head. Fruity citrus aroma. Good strong bitterness. Lingering aftertaste. Good IPA but no long lasting impression will remain.
