Handpull cask at the Railway, Ryde. Mid- to dark gold, clear with a scummy little white head and generous lacing. Sweet, astringent, tannic aroma. Some iced tea, wildflowers and hay. Sweet taste, a touch of astringency, leading to a more balanced finish. Strong bitter hop in the aftertaste with suggestions of kumquat peel. Not bad.

Can from Beers of Europe. Appearance - golden with attractive lacing. Nose - pale malt, lemon and a touch of cheese. Taste - pale malt and lemon again. Palate - creamy and light bodied. Finish just about cleans. Overall - could be fresher.
