Spalding Scrumpy is a cider made from 100% fresh pressed juice with nothing added. It is a dry, still cider varying between 5.5% and 7.5% ABV.

I have used various labels for this cider in the past and at the moment I have incorporated a watercolour done by local artist Tony Quinton. He has created a great picture of my press and has even added a couple of tulips, Spalding used to be famous for growing them.

This cider is available in 500ml crown capped bottles or in 10 litre and 20 litre bag in box dispensers. Great for weddings, parties and pubs.

13/11/2018. Bottle from the 8 Sail Brewery Shop, Heckington, Lincs. Pours very pale gold with no head. Aroma of slightly sour apples. Light sweetness, medium bitterness and tartness. Moderate body, slight watery texture, almost flat carbonation. Dry, very tart finish, and quite enjoyable provided that's how you like your ciders.

500ml bottle, trade courtesy of Grumbo, cheers Graham! Yellow gold colour, no head and fruity & cheesy apple aroma. Taste is slightly tart apple, mellow, citrus rind, fruity, slightly grassy with some caramel-like notes. Light bodied, low carbonation, dry citric finish. Quite OK.
