22/9/2020. Bottle courtesy of danlo, cheers Ed! Pours still clear dark gold with no head. Aroma of tart apples, caramel, citrus, touch of vanilla and light woody whiskey barrel notes. Taste was quite tart, a little vinegary to start, but became a bit sweeter and more mellow in the finish. Moderate body, no carbonation. Tart and sweet finish. Grew on me.

Bottle shared thanks to sjogro. Dry apple, soft funk, dry tannins not really in a leathery way but more earthy apple peel and dry oak, green apple, some more wood, dry lemon peel. Light sweet and bitter. Medium bodied, no carbonation and quite dry finish. Pretty good.

2016 Bottle, thanks to danlo! (Last bottle of the trade set I think). Clear golden, no head and no bubbles. Sweet, acidic and tart apples. Warming notes of booze, oak, whiskey. Juicy and oaky. Moderate sweet, bitter, tart. Medium body and bo carbonation. Taste is really good. Bit watery cool apple, no real funk, but very nice dry barrel notes on top of juicy apples. --- Beer merged from original tick of 2016 Vintage on 13 Feb 2020 at 19:26 - Score: 7. 500ml bottle, many thanks to Danlo for this! Pours a misty gold, patchy bubbles atop. Aroma has some light whisky hints, gentle apple fruit. Taste possesses pure fruit, very subtle whisky hints, light woody notes, interesting apple blend, softly sweet. Pretty decent.

BIAB at Darlington CAMRA Fest 2019 at the Voodoo Cafe. Orange gold colour, afew bubbles on top and aroma of mellow apple, whisky oak barrel. Taste is sweet, tangy juicy apple, alittle apple skin with whisky oak barrel, caramel, vanilla, fudge, then citric, tart. Medium bodied, low carbonation, dry smooth citric finish. Nicely drinkable. Earlier review: 500ml bottle from Raby Castle Gift Shop. Orangey golden colour, no head and aroma of apple, caramel, woody, oak, whisky hints. Taste is sweet, juicy apple, some apple core & apple skin, caramel, vanilla, oak, whisky notes and drying tart citrus. Medium bodied, low carbonation, smooth dry citric finish. Nicely drinkable 7/4/8/3/15 (3.7)
