The last pressing of the 2016 harvest, on a mild foggy day, this blend of Yarlington Mill and Ashton Brown Jersey came from the Old Coates Cider Orchard in Abbots Leigh. This old, mature low nitrogen orchard is left wild, giving a low sugar level than would be expected. The fermentation continued for a full 12 months before maturing and bottling in early spring. This slightly sparkling Cider has been 2 years in the making.

750ml bottle from Scrattings. Bottle 107/500. Gusher on opening! Hazy orangey golden colour, large foamy white head that quickly dissipates away and aroma of tangy fleshy apple with some leathery funk.Taste is sweetish, apple, tangy, some tartness, orchardy, leathery, earthy funky notes, bittersweet, some tannin. Light bodied, spritzy carbonation, dry tangy tannic finish. Nicely drinkable
