Every September, the hedgerows surrounding the brewery & LEP tap, the Edwardstone White Horse, burst with wild hops and a variety of wild fruits and berries. For this blend, we began by brewing 4 batches of sour saison, which was then divided into 7 barrels with varying levels of freshly picked green wild hops, wild plums and damsons added to each one. They were then blended together before bottling to create a golden amber sour saison with a sharp fruitiness, rounded off by the earthy tones of the wild hops.

Bottle from the Beer Cave. Appearance - golden orange with thin lacing and low carbonation. Nose - light damson and plum thing going on. Taste - damson and damson jam. Dry herb thing. Palate - light to medium bodied with a tangy texture. Dry tangy finish. Overall - very pleasant.

Bottle. Bar Stewards, Sheffield. Hazed gold. No head. Nose has soft, cheesy funk. Plum and damson. Plum stone. Some cherry juice. Touch of leafy hop. Taste is a little sweet. Some stone fruit dryness. Light to medium body. Minimal carbonation. Lightly acidic. Tart, acidic, fruity finish. Nice one.
