An Imperial-strength Weisenbock, lagered for sixty days. It's as big as it sounds, with notes of dried fruit, caramel and burnt sugar. Add to that the classic banana and clove tones from the weisen yeast, and the crisp finish of the lager, and we have the German-inspired answer to the Belgian Quadrupel. Strong and moreish.

Keg to growler fill from Steam Machine Brew Room, Newton Aycliffe. Deep brown amber colour, afew bubbles on top and aroma of fruity grain, toffee, molasses, light roasty. Taste is sweet, wheat grainy, malt, molasses, caramel, toffee, dried fruity, boozy, nutty earthy bitter. Oily mouthfeel, medium bodied, low carbonation, dry earthy roasty nutty warm boozy finish. Nicely drinkable.
