The earliest written account of apple orchards if believed to be in The Odyssey (900 - 800 BC) so it is fitting that our latest cider is named after our favourite restaurant on Odysseus's hom island of Ithaca. Rementzo is run by Poppy and Nektarios in the beautiful havour village of Frikes where we have enjoyed their hospitality for over 20 years.

26/4/2019. Bottle, sample, courtesy of danlo, cheers Ed. Pours clear bright mid-gold with a small bubbly just off-white head. Aroma of semi-tart apples, light caramel, stable straw and wood, with funky notes. Light to moderate sweetness with similar tartness. Medium body, oily/sticky texture, soft carbonation. Light dry, tart, tannic finish. Have to agree this is a very good cidery on the strength of these two just tried.

750ml bottle from trade courtesy of minutemat, cheers Mat! Deep golden colour, white foam head that quickly dissipates away and aroma of leathery, funky apple. Taste is orchardy, tangy, fruity apple, bittersweet, with some barnyard funk and drying tannin. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry funky tannic finish. Very drinkable.

75cl bottle from Ludlow Food Centre. Pours gold with a light mist, thin ring of white bubbles atop. Aroma presents some nice medium sweet apple fruit. Taste is vibrant, fleshy medium apple fruit, some subtle comforting fuzzy textures. Excellent fruity presence, medium bodied with very minimal natural carbonation. Very good introduction to this producer.
