16/4/2019. Cask from 2019 Newcastle Beer and Cider Festival, sample courtesy of danlo, cheers Ed. Pours very dark brown with a small bubbly beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, milk chocolate, chocolate orange, dried fruits and touch of liquorice. Moderate sweetness, medium roasted bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Some dryness to finish, with lasting earthy, orange notes.

Cask at Newcastle Beer & Cider Fest 2019. Black brown colour with reddish tinge, biege foamy head and aroma of bready, roasted malt with orange notes. Taste is chocolate orange, roasty malt, ash and earthy bitterness. Fairly thin mouthfeel, light to medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry roasty bitter finish. Quite drinkable
