Bottle. Golden pour, foamy white head. Aroma of grass, herbs and basil. Taste of eurohops, little citrus, gras, some basil and yeast. Could use more basil.

Sampled 330 ml. bottle @ Tilburgs Bierfestival 2015. Amazing label. Clear orange, little white head. Nose is big basil with mellow fruity hop, great basil amount & quality,… Taste is basil, wonderful with sadly weaker base, oily caramel, a bit too oily, sugar grass,… Oily,… Base is a bit weak but mix of IPA & basil is great + quality of basil is amazing. Golden and clear. It’s a very fruity IPA with a slightly peppery, herbal finish.

Clear medium golden colour, large frothy off-white head, good retention and lacing. Strong citrus aroma, grapefruit, lemon, pine, lemon grass. Crisp taste, medium to heavy bitter, citrusy. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation, dry aftertaste above moderate bitter, spicy notes. A tasty and well-made Pale Ale which doesn’t come as a surprise regarding its origin. Didn’t taste any basil...

Bottle @ home. Clear golden color, full sized a bit rough white head. Aroma is very hoppy and fruity with a hint of sweet candy and a slight touch of herbs or spices. Taste malts, hops again quite prominently, but stronger than in the aroma there is a herb or spice present -I guess it must be basil then- that annoys me terribly. It reminds me of oregano and I do not want that in my beer. Decent body, a bi fizzy carbonation. started out nice, but in the end it wasn’t my thing.

33cl Bottle from Sterk. Clear golden colour, white head. Aroma of tropical fruits and citrusy hops, NZ hops. Flavour is crisp, some pineapple, citrus, light malty, nice citrusy hoppy bitterness. Light bodied. Good. Shows the benefits of choosing a good brewery for your contract beer. No basil detected btw.
