Keg tap at the Salmon, Leicester. Dark brown, impenetrable with a small ring of head. Some salted chocolate and yeast extract join the treacle-laden aroma. Very nice. Taste garners fewer accolades from me: it's nutty, sourish and a bit vegetal, none of which I expected. Light bitterness in the finish. Heavy carbonation. Odd beer, very hard to get into.

On tap at Craft Beer Oasis, Crewe – at 7.2%. Pours pretty mich jet black with a small cream head. Has roasted malts and some lactose in the aroma. In the mouth it is fairly sweet and milky, with plenty of liquorice and hints of dark fruits, chocolate and coffee. Quite nice and very drinkable.

Third, gravicask, at the 22nd Oxford Beer & Cider Festival. Shared with Finn. Pitch black body, naked at the surface, fragile lacing. Roasted malty smell, hint of liquorice. Dark malty flavours partially overrun by sulfur. Roasted ashy ending. Not quite there. (25.10.2019).

Delt med Rune på 22nd Oxford Beer & Cider Festival 2019. Svart. Mokkafarget skumring. Aroma av brent plast. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken mørk sjokolade. Veldig tørr avslutning

25/3/2019. Cask, sample, from Darlington Beer Festival @ Voodoo Cafe, courtesy of Danlo, cheers! Pours almost black with a small beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, milk chocolate, nut, dark fruits, lactose, hint of liquorice and coffee. Medium sweetness, light to moderate roasted bitterness. Medium body, slickish texture, very soft carbonation. A little more roasted bitterness comes through to finish alongside the chocolate. Good one.

Cask at Darlington CAMRA Fest 2019 at the Voodoo Cafe. Black in colour, brown foam head leaving lacing and aroma of malt, soya sauce, meaty, roasted. Taste is sweetish roast malty, molasses, roast malty, chocolate & coffee, milky, with earthy bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry tangy roasty bitter finish. Nicely drinkable
