Bottle from the brewery, shared at the February MDF tasting. Hazy orange, large foamy white head, good retention. Aroma of yeast, spice, dry citrus rind, pear, pepper, hay, mild lemongrass. Wow! The taste is spice, yeast, pale malt, pepper, orange, pear, stone fruit, vinous notes. Medium bodied, lingering spice, well balanced, tasty, extremely good execution and interesting. Hell of a good beer.

Poured from a bottle dated July 05, 2015. Aroma is nice with some light grain notes. Medium stone fruit and pear esters. Light white wine notes with faint oak. Hints of acidity and citrus. Pours a somewhat hazy, golden yellow color with a medium sized, moderately thick, white head that shows average retention as it recedes to a film that hangs around thick on the edges. No lacing or legs. Flavor is slightly acidic with light grain notes and light citrus, especially lemon. Moderate pear, red apple and stone fruit esters. Some medium light white wine notes with light oak. Medium light bitterness with a hint of a mineral note. Medium light tannins. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a nice beer but I like the aroma a bit more than the flavor for a couple reasons. I think the esters in the flavor tend more towards red apple and pear with less stone fruit. The tannins in the flavor are a bit strong too. This is still a very nice beer from a brewery I consider a bit underrated.

Bottle thanks to Chris. Pours a clear orange color with a medium white head. A powerful sour funky apricot nose. Certainly this is on the wild side of saisons. The flavor is very smooth, apricots and peaches, soft, woody, not really any heavy acidic or even sharp sourness which I’m glad about. Very vinous, lots of grape skins and oak. Very good beer. Ambler putting out some great stuff.

Bottle. Pours slightly hazy golden, medium white head, good lacing. Aroma is clean, fruity, citrus, dust, Brett, oak. Flavor is dry, very light bitterness, nice Brett with some funk, oak, but no acidity, lemon citrus. Lightish body, soft carbonation. Quite nice, really easy to drink.

50cl bottle pours a hazy yellow with some tight, white head. Nose has some cheesy funk, passion fruit, lemon, grass, white grape, a little soap. Flavor has soap and passion fruit, perfume, straw, lemon rind, soap, a little tea. Dry finish. Very drinkable.
